That rubber thingy works like a shock absorber so when I went through a hump, the impact cause both the hinges to snapped and top part to fly land on the rough road!
Replacing the Case would cost around $500++ which is too expensive! I have saw quite a number of other lx150 top box with broken hinges too so I can definitely say its a flaw and they are not strong.
My previous fixes were duct tape, hanger wire, zip ties and all were not working well with bad alignment.
I have had this for about 3 weeks now and so far this is the best.
Special thanks to Ninemesiter from Vespa LX top box repair.
I didn't have the equipment to perform such a professional job though but I manage to find ready made hinges that did the job with abit of tweaking.
I only use simple tools which was a pliers, a diamond file-$2 from daiso, a drill and a knife to cut some parts of the box.
The finish results was not very clean cos I am not a very patient and rather messy person but those hinges does the job real well!
I also did a rubber lining replacement cause I can't find any store that sells it over here.
