Regarding the voltage regulator, is there a more reliable alternative than the original Piaggio/?¥

I use japan motorcycle voltage regulatot for my vespa s 150 3v. U just need to know what your type (3phase or fullwave), then find the subtitution. There are more cheaper, but dont buy the imitation.

Hi, a little old post, but maybe someone can help me here.

In mine MP3 500 the ECU is attached to the throttle body and I check the stamp and say IAWRIU2.E05 is this one compatible with IAWDiag or JPDiag before I start to purchase cables and try to play with? In the list of ECUs in IAWDiag I can't see something that say me is this one...

Thanks a lot for the help

Sorry to say but only the "old" MIU1 and MIU3G ECU's are supported by the diagnose programs JPdiag and IAWdiag.

The changelog for IAWdiag does say that it supports several of the IAW series not just MIU. (I'm not saying if it does it doesn't work with dariusz's IAW)

Hi everyone,

in first thx Pilaf for the infos, great job. Clap emoticon
Its working on my Piaggio Mp3 400ie.
When I start the engine, 4-5 sec after stop it. The fuel pump, ignition, injection are ok.
When I running IAWdiag, no fault codes, just I realised the intake manifold pressure value is 0, but its not able zero, because when the engine run, there it is a vacuum.
Where the ecu measure this?

Thank You
Rob

Is the software capable of dislaying LAMBDA value for analysis while riding the bike?
This is not about fixing a small laptop to the bike. Before I think of that I'd need to know if the KK line is fast enough to show accurate lambda values.

I have a 2011 300 GTS that I bought used a couple of years ago.
When I bought it the engine was not running. Several people had tried to repair it, but did't get it run again. The last owner did buy a used Throttle body from eBay. I got it to run after short time, the registers chain was not at right place.
The scooter has been running after this almost normal. I have some issues at startup when it's "cold". I wonder if some of the last owners tried to adjust "idle screw"
So my question is easy, will I be able to read with this cables and software what degree the TPS is and what is should have been?

The software will show you the degrees open throttle. During idle this is 3.8°.
It will just report what the sensor "sees" though.

Hello everyone,

Just a new member question. I have a 2014 Vespa S 150 3v.ie. I replaced the original throttle with one from a 2015 Vespa GTS 150 3v.ie. It worked just fine, but the mechanic service guy updated the wrong ECU database by mistake.

Does anyone have or know where I can get the .bin files of the original database and EEPROM file for this GTS 150 throttle body? I need it to reflash my GTS ECU to original.

The part number is: CM084923 - 28M3G1HW307.
The database number: 4528CR08

Thanks so much, guys

Hello ketekberantakan,

I have a very similar ECU - CM088109 in a Piaggio Liberty 125 4T ie 3V scooter.
HW version: 26M3G1HW307
SW version: 3521CB07
Omologation: E28
MFD: 2014.02.07

I also share the .bin file.
However, I don't have the corresponding .xdf file.
Could you possibly share your xdf?

Big thanks to SteelBytes.
The linked xdf really works on my engine, although surprisingly few boards are visible:

Fuel main 3D (injection volume(?)/TPS/RPM)
Ignition advance main 3D (ignition advance/TPS/RPM)
Injector flow rate (only one data in it: 671)
Injector flow rate trim by volt (injection time trim rate/voltage)

Is that all the regulations?

updated: others added. download again.

fuel main is volume. ing flow converts this to duration. also I suggest reading the description for inj flow in the xdf.

Huh, the updated xdf is very good. It contains twice as many regulatory factors as in the first version. Thank you very much, Steelbytes!

what BIN?

note: MIU1HW101 is not the bin, it's the hardware. different bins can be on that hardware.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading through this thread and it has been incredibly helpful regarding the P0611 error. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a specific issue with the MIU G3 unit.

Current Situation: I am dealing with the P0611 error. I have already ruled out all mechanical variables:

Valve clearances are adjusted to spec.

Timing is verified correct.

Compression is perfect.

New injector installed and confirmed not leaking.

Throttle body and bypass passages are clean.

The Problem: During the troubleshooting process, the TPS stop screw was tampered with. I am now trying to return it to the correct factory baseline. The issue is that I cannot get a raw Voltage (mV) reading from the TPS.

IAW Diag connects but only shows "0" or relative degrees (it does not display the raw mV parameter in the sensor list for my specific ECU version).

JPDiag does not connect.

My Questions:

Mechanical Baseline: Does anyone know a reliable "rule of thumb" for the TPS screw position on the MIU G3 when voltage reading is not available? (For example: Number of turns from the contact point? Or a specific physical degree opening?).

PCB / Hardware Probing: Since the TPS is internal and has no external wiring to probe: Has anyone successfully measured the TPS voltage directly from the PCB? I am comfortable opening the unit if necessary. Does anyone have a pinout or know which points on the circuit board correspond to the TPS potentiometer wiper so I can measure the mV with a multimeter directly on the board?

Currently, the bike starts but bogs down ("pooooo" sound) when snapping the throttle, which suggests the butterfly angle is incorrect vs the map. I plan to do the full reset procedure (TPS Reset + Self-learning Reset + 15 min idle), but I need to get the mechanical screw close to the "sweet spot" first.

Any help or technical schematics would be greatly appreciated to save this ECU!

Thanks in advance.

This thread is for how to use guzzidiag.

You should make your own thread in General.

(Yes i know it's full of other stuff but you probably won't get your problem solved in this thread)

My cables arrived today and passed the adapter test. I checked the k and L lines on the Fiat connector and mine are reversed so I guess that I cannot use it without first switching them around?

So i too have digested all these threads.
Now i realise the "k" line doesnt connect to anything.
The gts only has 2 wires at "L" and grd.
My 07 250 is white to L line and black grd.
2012 125 was brown to "L " and black grd
Hope this helped, pop cap of gts female and check which side .

The GTS250 should have a violet/white data wire and a black ground wire at the diagnostic connector. Whatever device you have to read codes should be separately powered.

Can anyone post a link to a verified working VAG KKL cable with the appropriate FTDI FT232RL chip on USA Amazon or Ebay? Thanks in advance! I bought one that does not appear to work. I opened it up and it appears to have a different FTDI chip (2242-D)
