Modern Vespa

Been out of loop for a while! Are there any scooter people? Clubs? Etc left in the Burgh? Been out of the loop for a while, but really enjoyed the yinzer excursions! Let me know! "Lippy". ( from south of Pitt)

Hi Lippy. I live in Pittsburgh in the East End. I know a few other Vespa riders and a couple who ride Kymco's. My ride is hibernating right now, but would love to get together in the spring. There's a group up in the North Hills, but they are pretty far North and i haven't been able to connect with them yet.

Hello Lippy, I have just acquired a 2005 GT200 and would like to join you Nova33 in the spring. I too live in the east end of PGH and am a long time rider, having owned many bikes and a few scooters. The GT needs a little refreshing, but should be good to go soon.

Was in Yinzers scooter club! We used to hav nice planned rides together in spring and summer! Was a lot of fun! Would meet down at south side ! Camera Tom used to plan trips, and take pictures along route! Even went to Steubenville on my 150 Genuine Stella!

The club seems have totally faded away, and has been gone for some time.

Even before the Yinzers, there was also a scooter "Meetup" group, but every meetup amounted to "let's show up at a coffee shop and talk about something." Both times I showed up, no one even rode a scooter...taking their cars instead. Shouldn't a scooter group involve...scooters?
Needless to say, that group got very little traction.

Maybe it's a good time to just start one from scratch.

(PS: I don't have a scooter at this point, so I'm sort of out of the picture, but I still think it would be cool to have a local riding club. )
