Finally got the new tires on! Since it's a beautiful day sunny & 80 degrees I went for a ride out to Everglades City.

Moderators, please ban this guy - he has no snow and ice on the ground...not fair. What's the tires? How much did you pay? I had Michelin City and liked them.

Early winter blues. Hang in there. It can only get worse.

We have some beautiful riding weather this time of year.

Sorry, the only white stuff we have here is white sugar sand at the beach. The tires are Pirelli Diablos. I bought them online from Motorcycle Superstore, free shipping with sales tax, $116.00 for the matched set. These are radial tires, not sure if any of the other scooter tires out there are.

That is a gorgeous scoot! Can I ask where those chrome highlights on the front and side came from?

Thanks for the compliment but I'm not sure which chrome bits you're talking about. It's a 2006 GT200 (Granturismo) as far as I know it's completely stock the way it came from the factory, at lest for now.

Looks like its time to pack up the skis and head to Sun Valley.

Geez... with the scoot in the garage I decided to go for a run instead. A balmy 15 degrees. That's only a 65 degree difference..

How did you find the ride along the 41 from Naples to the 951 junction, I avoid that area like the plague at this time of year?

I'm sure you encountered no problems once you were east of 951 where it turns into two lane and single lane.

Certainly today was a beautiful day for a ride down to Everglades city.

I love to ride my Vespa down to Stans on Goodland on a Sunday and park it right up front by the Harleys, Victories and Boss Hoss's it gets as much if not more attention from the revellers.

I live in old Lely at St Andrews & 41 so my ride to 951 isn't a big deal, in fact I made every green light out. Went out to the smallest post office in the US at Ochopee, FL to mail my Christmas cards then down to Chokolskee, Fl back up to Everglade City for lunch. On the way back I detoured over to Marco Island through Goodland, around Through Marco and back home. A very pleasant 96 mile trip!

November thru March is great riding weather in FL. Of course, after that early summer starts coming on. No such thing as Spring (or Fall). And before anyone objects, know I lived there ( South Florida) for 50 years. So, let Key West have his good rides and enjoy them while he can.

No snow and/or ice here in South Central Pennsylvania yet, some predicted for tomorrow night, but the high during the day today was just a smidge above freezing and we're looking at highs to only be in the upper teens and lower twenties (F) the next couple days.
I rode the other day, high was 45F.
Winter 'blahs' are about to start, riding is going to be limited more.....

Back on topic: Those tries look great, great job in 'scrubbing them in' sounded like a great ride.

Looks good. Now, I like the ride thru Immokalee and up to LaBelle. Then lunch at the Log Cabin BBQ. Yumm!

Ha, I wish! ...we xc skied around the high school soccer fields this eve, but it tweren't quite the same.

Calling for almost 50 here today and then by Saturday night -10

It's been reallllllly cold (for LA lately, 60 give or take highs, mid-40's at night. Of course you can pretty much ride every day of the year here; but a big rainstorm is coming which, to us, is like Hurricane Sandy.

Glad to see you have your new tyres on. And it was all the DIY, wasn't it? I've been following some of your posts.
