My 81 Vespa P200e is really rough to the touch and a little dull in one of the cowls. For my cars I use a clay bar to remove all the contaminants. Is it safe to use in the Vespa paint?
Thanks in advance.

Clay bar or a medium compound. Old Vespa paint is remarkably tough.

early burgundy Ps polish up nicely when slightly oxidized. Clean up with clay and then use either Zymol Cleaner wax - then when you have taken off wax and polished up. User a spray bottle with cool water and mist it. Then remove water with polishing rag in circular motion. The water will release the oils the carnuba wax and give the paint depth.

Or clay bar an Meguires professional #7 followed up with #26.

Remember: wax on, wax off.

Carnauba wax was always awesome for restoring oxidised paint
