Buttermilk Road, just a few miles west of Bishop, California. It's a beautiful day today, so I thought I'd head on up for a quick ride west of town. Basin Mountain directly behind me, Mount Tom just to the right of it. I do love the view from my town - hard to beat the Sierra Nevada range...

Stunning view. The sky looks unlike anything we see here in the East. And any landscape is markedly improved by the addition of a Vespa...

Two more pics from the weekend. We've been getting absolutely hammered with snow at work (I work up in Mammoth Lakes, CA - a ski resort town), and we even got snow down in the Owens Valley/Bishop, so I haven't been able to ride. I wouldn't want to anyway - it was so cold!

But, Sunday was beautiful. I was in Death Valley for a work retreat, but was back in Bishop by noon, so I thought I'd better take a spin on the GTV while the weather was good. These pics were taken about two miles to the west of my house...

It's just the stock "Espresso brown" color. For some reason, it seems to look almost purple in photos...

Yes. It has a noticeable metal flake when viewed in the light.
