Thank you so much for posting such great pics and description of your work. I have a 2006 GTS250ie that a friend has given me after his crash with 296 original miles on it and would like to do the same with. It has a bent frame so I need to take it all apart, have the frame straightened powder coated and then put back together. I hope to achieve the same end result you have.

Great blog! I have a Primavera 150 that looks like the exact same ignition assembly with the lock-block sandwiched behind the key cylinder just like your photos. My Vespa was vandalized and I'm having to replace the lock block, but it won't fit into the cylinder past the fork. Should it be able to fit with the front fork in place, or is that because I have to remove the front fork in order to replace it, or might it be that the cylinder or fork was damaged? Help!

wow great work I have a 1985 BMW 635 CSI could you do restoration? 201-220-4401 car runs no rust but needs cosmetics 201-220-4401 George

i have done exactly the same thing to mine, shot blast rust treated, i have welded all the seams up on mine as thats where the water damage starts, etch and primed , filled any dents in the body work, its is being flatted ready for black paint and carbon dipping. its a big project but as you can see with yours well worth the effort. i will post some build pics when its back home to build.
