Next step is to get a pre 1979 scooter (historic class) to be able to ride in London or find a decent electric scooter perhaps.

Very well said. Here in NY vintage need be 25 years old. 40 is quite a hurdle. Buy up those old scoots, their stock is rising in London.

You can still find them in great, original(ish) condition for much lower prices than Rallys. They are just over 40 years old and you can install a 200+ cc motor with 20+ hp on tap. The perfect solution for London and you don't need to be precious like you would with a GS or SS.
