I read that the felt pad on the stator that runs on the flywheel cam is suppose to be saturated in oil every 2500 miles.
I never heard this before. So just what is a guy to use for lubrication here?

My guess would be to soak in 3-in-1 oil. See what other say...

I can remember every time I bought points for my car there was always a little capsule of grease included with them. I wonder what kind of grease that really was? Some kind of silicone maybe?

I wouldn't stress about finding special "points lubricating grease". The felt pad is not that fussy.
