Five years ago today I took delivery of my beloved GTS250.

Because of her i've become part of COMMUNITIES- here at MV and in the physical world.

Scooter people are truly the kindest and generally best genre of people i've ever interacted with.

I notice the grips seem to be of a smaller diameter. True?

The reason I ask, I'm a bit older and my fingers and thumbs hurt most of the time. Especially the thumb joints.

Are your grips smaller?

I wish to have smaller grip diameters, and closer levers would be nice too.

Rheumatism is not a pita, just an age deal concerning joints, a shorter and smaller grasp would be very helpful.

ravenlore be "she." As far as grips go, they look pretty normal for that bike. Squinting at that pic o' the dash, it's 14,401 miles. And lots more to come, for certain.

Just noticed, we are two days apart from joining this online MV community!

It'll be a few days for that pic, as I dropped her off for a spa day for her birthday and brought her little sister home. Yeah, the grips are stock, the bar ends just the ones they ship with the OEM topcase, so nothing special there.

Sorry about the dash pic...and the other pic, for that matter. I truly am not good with photography; my hands have just never been photgrapher-steady.


And I am indeed a she though "sir" and "good chap" would not offend me in the least.

Your mention of giving the big girl the "spa" treatment reminds me of what I need to do with Melody shortly, or at least when the snow's finally outta here for the year: a serious washdown and buffing. Yours (same color!) looks divine.
