GTS 300 ABS/ASR 2015 Touring - 'Grigio Seta' paint finish.

Hi all, my scooter toppled over in a strong wind today. My cover acted like a massive wind sock and I was the only bike affected in the bay outside of my office!

The damage is all on one side so I guess it could have been worse...As the photos show as well as the dents the paint has also been damaged, almost to the metal in two spots.

I'll be contacting the Dent Doctors in the yellow pages but I wondered if anyone here had any thoughts on how problematic (or straightforward) this should be to correct and whether colour matching the paint is likely to be difficult.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I think you may do better to go to a car body shop, as they will have the equipment to deal with the thicker steel of your Vespa. They should also be able to accurately match your existing paint. Hope you get it sorted out.

Body shop should be able to make it perfect for $300 give or take -

Those paint-free dent removal guys are really good. If this is the same as the "dent doctors" you contacted, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what they can accomplish. Let them get the dent out, get a touch up pen and take your time. And don't use the cover anymore, because you are right - they act like a wind sock. Good luck.

In your case you have dents and paint damage and my advise is to go to good body shop. All good body shops can do the same or better jobs as far as dent removal but they also can advise/fix paint damage. Let the professional body shop evaluate damage and you would be very surprise how much magic they can do by just polishing after all dents are removed

As far as touch paint is concern, it will serve the same as applying a duct tape to damage areas.
