I've read a few threads regarding this issue but wanted some fresh opinions. My 2006 GTS will frequently have an issue where it'll surge rpms at idle then come back to normal, then continue surging. Generally if I turn the scoot off and restart it after it's run for awhile it'll idle normally. Not guessing that it's cracked hoses, although that is a possibility. Could it be a bad lambda sensor or something in the electronics?

I've had that happen occasionally. Opening the gas cap and restarting usually solves the problem. I think it's a clogged evap canister. Hopefully others will check in

Mine just started doing that. I'll have to check the canister. Was wondering about cracks in hoses. I'll watch this thread to see if anything else comes up.

I had a 1990 Jetta GLI that did this for years. I used to call that car "Sir Revs Alot". All the German mechanics in the world couldn't fix it. Finally unloaded that pig.
