Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a Vespa Et2 50. I will need to drive through a tunnel under a fjord everyday, and was wondering if anyone could advise me if this bike would manage it?

I forgot to say the tunnel is about 2km long and the steepest part is 7.8%....

How heavy are you? Is a short or long hill?

Is there other traffic in the tunnel? My old 50cc could climb a steep hill, but I would pull over into the bicycle lane if there was a vehicle behind me.

It should be able to do it. Reason i asked about the weight (not being nosy) is that the heavier you are the slower your going to be uphill. Just ride the side when your going up hills like JK said. I can't envision that Finnish drivers would get that upset with slow scooters. Here in the USA we have the idiot pick up truck guys who think they own the road. ET2'S are great little scooters.

I'd wager a stock ET2 (save derestriction) would pull an average sized person to hold around 30 mph/48kph (GPS, not indicated) up that grade. Depending on the speed limit it's doable, but it's much more doable with a 70cc kit and pipe

I was going to say that too, but I thought it best to give the poor guy some hope of getting back out of the tunnel.
