Modern Vespa

Hi all,

I've got a few problems with my bike and was wondering if anyone could help me work out what's wrong.

1). The throttle has stopped auto returning to off when I release.. Its like I have my own cruise control right now; I'm not sure I like it. Do you think there is an issue inside the grip or will it likely be cable related? Is it a fairly simple job to fix myself?

2). The starter switch does not pop back out when pressed; its remains depressed. What could the issue be?

1) Try adding a couple of washers underneath the bar-end weight on the throttle side. The grips gradually elongate over time, and start binding.

2) Replacement is the best bet.

I had the throttle sticking issue and then, my cable snapped. Luckily I was in my driveway. I replaced the cables and now all is well. 2012 GTS300, had around 10,900 miles at the time.
