Do you have a song as your phone ringtone? Here's mine. Gives me a burst of energy every time my phone rings.

For a while, I had the President's hot-line ringtone from Our Man Flint (reappearing later in the Austin Powers franchise) on my first two (real) BlackBerrys, and my first two Android smartphones. When everybody started putting musical ringtones on their phones, it actually became hard to hear my own phone ringing. Tried a "classic" phone ringtone for a few months before everyone else seemed to want one too. Then, about a year ago, a small revelation: I was catching up on my British police procedurals on TV, and while watching an episode of Inspector Lewis (Morse/Endeavor fans, raise your hands), I heard the phone of Lewis' Detective Sgt. Hathaway's phone ring: a simple, clean pre-smartphone chirp. Had to root around the Internets to find just the tone, but I found it, and I've yet to hear anyone else's phone, smart or otherwise, using this tone. Kismet!

Mine is a Dr. Who theme, as created in his studio by my friend, my first bass teacher, and my musical inspiration - Morgan Hague.
If I could figure out how to post an MP3 file here, I would. |

Copied my old gas station entry bell that I installed in my house. Can hear it out in the street. Drives my wife and our dogs crazy....Made a great ring tone.

My default ring tone is Linus and Lucy. For my son it's a robotic sound, my daughter is set for the sound of bubbles and for my wife the sound of a cuckoo clock call.

Mine is Homer Simpson yelling, "A lady motorcycle driver? What is this, the Twilight Zone?"
And my text message sound is a motorcycle rumbling. |

Different ringtones for different people!
Favorites ringtone is a barking Labrador Retriever, nonetheless!!! Ringtone for when dear one is calling me, George Thorogood's, Bad to the Bone. Alarm ringtone is Louis Armstrong's, What A Wonderful World. Everyone else ... does not matter! ⚠️ Last edited by Big_Boys_Mother on UTC; edited 1 time

Depends on who's calling, but all the sounds on my phone are classic Nintendo video game sounds. Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros. mainly. My text message alert is 1-up. My ex's ringtone is the King Koopa theme.

Long, elaborate, noisy ring tones are a pet peeve of mine. And the morons that won't answer their phone and just listen and admire their ring tone. I want to scream at them,"Just answer the fucking phone for gods sake!" They do it everywhere, restaurants, church, business meetings, and are too brain dead to be embarrassed. AAHHH!
I'm sure this doesn't apply to anyone here. (I feel much better now.) |
