Is this a mellow sounding pipe?
It looks nice.

I recently installed a Malossi muffler/variator and Bitubo shocks on Scoot Life. I didn't buy the muffler for performance. I bought it because of issues with my stock muffler. I now no longer have a heavy rough spot at 50MPH and the restriction at WOT is gone. That stock muffler is a POS.
I figured if I had the muffler, I might as well get the variator. The result is impressive but I don't like the noise. Other than the hard cold starts, the commuter runs fine and I won't put a Mallosi muffler on it, unless the stock one fails.
I must say this. The Malossi variator is a must have. Especially if you ride 2 up. The twitchy parking lot ride is gone. IMHO this is the best reason for getting it. I will be installing it on the commuter scooter
The stock shocks are more comfortable than the Bitubos. I put Scoot Life's shocks(5,000 miles on them) on the commuter and the wobbly ride is gone

Do you think the muffler helps the performance?

I don't like noise either. Do you know of any other pipes that are not too noisy?

Good looking setup. The bike looks purposeful and quick. I am surprised the Malossi pipe is a lot louder than the stock pipe. Usually you have to remove the dbKiller to get a lot more noise. Because the gear ratio changes at higher rpms with the Malossi variator, it will also be a bit louder when you are accelerating. As for cold starts, and general smoothness, I think a lambda emulator would help with that. I would give the shocks a little more time. The stock shocks are softer, and that seems more comfortable at slow speeds, but if you ride both setups, you might find that the Bitubos grow on you and you don't get as tired on a long ride, especially at higher speeds. I've got a completely stock GT200, and every time I get on it, I think it rides great, then I hit a bump and it starts to bounce. With someone on the back, or riding fast or on rough roads, performance shocks really come into their own. That would be a fun bike to take up into the mountains.
Have you thought about a fender eliminator for the rear? The bike has a really nice flow to it.

I too have the Bitubo rear shocks and Malossi pipe fitted to my BV350.

The shocks are fine although as I have previously posted I can't say I noticed a great improvement over the standard items.

As you say the Malossi pipe is obnoxiously noisy however there is a very easy and cheap fix. Get some stainless steel kitchen scouring balls/pads, remove the DB killer, insert the scourers into the silencer and re-fit the DB killer - sorted.

I used 3 - 4 scourers about 2 years ago. The pipe now sounds ok and there has been no discernible effect on the performance.

I had the license plate mounted on the fender support. I got caught in the rain and got soaked from the rear big time. I'll use a fender.
