Um....I don't think so. Mutts is drawn by Patrick McDonnell. I've never seen any evidence that's an alias for Bill Watterson.

Prior to creating Mutts in 1994:
Quote:
...McDonnell had a successful career as a freelance illustrator, drawing the Russell Baker Observer column for the New York Times Sunday Magazine from 1978-1993. He also created Bad Baby, a monthly comic strip for Parents Magazine, which ran for 10 years. During that time he also was a regular contributor to Sports Illustrated, Reader's Digest, Forbes, Time and many other national magazines. His work has been animated for television commercials, most notably a PSA for the NY Philharmonic. He is coauthor of Krazy Kat: The Comic Art of George Herriman, published in 1986 by Abrams.

It's Frank Shepard Fairey who, "in the summer of 1989...created a silk-screened sticker based on obey giant, best known for his role in Rob Reiner's film 'The Princess Bride.' The 2-inch-square black-and-white stickers are titled obey giant has a Posse and bear the exaggerated features of the larger-than-life media figure."

You know you've seen these out on the streets.

Though I've yet to go there (even though it's the next state over), I hear that this museum is a mecca for all things automotive (especially motorcycle related).

The Barber Motorsports Park and Museum, Leeds, Alabama

Wow! Who knew? (At least I didn't.)

"Set in a lovely park containing a 2.38 mile race track and scattered with sculptures, the museum displays 500 or so motorcycles and a variety of automobiles in a playful layout. A ramp spirals up through five levels around a glass elevator framed by racks of motorcycles. Visually, it's like an avalanche of M&Ms in a chrome-plated dream."

Neither did I until my mom and her husband went to the museum while at the track watching motorcycle racing. They said it was absolutely amazing...plus I hear there are a few vintage Vespas in the mix.

By the way, don't you just love how we were going to have flying saucer cars in the future, but "mom and sis" would still be running out to the supermarket and bringing home the groceries in a regular paper shopping bag while "dad and junior" waited at home? It's pure 1950s...but with flying cars! The future will arrive without any social change whatsover!

As Criswell said at the begiinning of "Plan 9 from Outer Space": We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives.

But I digress.

Well, #$%^! I found that one while picking up yesterday's automobile museum tag, but do you think it will turn up now? Ha!

Sorry about that...while I regroup and try to give a better clue, here's the alternate image I'd planned to use before finding the saucer car. I'll report back once I figure out where that other one went, but this one will work for the points.
