Kind of related to the previous pic. Since this is sort of easy, I want the exact same photo.

Well that's actually the rule.

But to quote a Rolling Stone song,

"You can't always get what you want"

I have googled the two most obvious tags, and while I've found lot's of pictures of this house, (which has to the one of the most photographed houses in San Francisco from that angle)

I have not found that "exact" photo.

So if you used a tag other then the name of the band + house or the street address, you going to need to give another clue.

The Grateful Dead lived at 710 Ashbury for two years, from 1966 to 1968. Those two years included the famous drug bust in 1967 and, of course, the Summer of Love.

Word is that the Dead were this groups favorite band, who are shown here in a 1967 photo by Irving Penn.

Ah, the Hell's Angels! Gee, that guy on the far right looks familiar...think I used to see him on the street in Berkeley. (I was born and raised in Oakland...which was Sonny Barger territory....though not my neighborhood.) The Angels served as the "security detail" - unasked and often unwanted - at many a rock concert back in the day.

The info I read said they pretty much intimidated Irving Penn during the photo shoot....as they did many others. Of course Altamont was still years in the future.

And while we're here in the famous photographer/"biker" part of the catalog, I offer this related image. The man in this photo spent some time hanging out with the guys in the one above...or if not with those specific individuals, certainly ones no more than a degree of separation away. Name the photographer and the "shooter." (He did have rather a rather pronounced fascination with firearms.)

Note, I cropped some identifying text from the bottom of this image.

This mug shot of Igor Stravinsky was taken by the Boston police. It seems Stravinsky was arrested for "tampering with public property." In 1940 the police arrived at Symphony Hall and confiscated the instrument parts to Stravinsky's orchestration of "The Star Spangled Banner." He was charged with changing the traditional harmonies. This story can be found with the Koch release, Histoire de Soldat, Premieres & Rarities. On it is, another national anthem orchestrated by Stravinsky, La Marseillaise.

I don't know this one, but while fishing around in places I thought I might find it I did run across this photo of the SFSG contingent leading the way at this year's event!

I think I know the player you're after! Maybe she can find the right photo.

Edit [Several hours later]: I officially give up on this one. I can't find this image anyplace I've thought to search.

I hate to give up, so I decided on one last attempt. And suddenly I realized the problem! I had "Moderately Safe Search" turned on....and so Google decided this image was not safe for me to see. I'm sure Google would have been happy to show me dead bodies, but needed to protect me from breasts.

It is indeed Dykes on Bikes...2007 Pride Parade.

And I do need to commend messsycoloring for the masterful job of photoshopping the Mod pasties.

Well I don't know if that duo from the last tag falls into the "bad boy" category or not.

But speaking of "bad boys" I see that breturi7 has been up to his old tricks.

Oh well boys will be boys.

Which brings us to this tag.

This artist definitely falls in the "bad boy" category.

Best known for his highly stylized black and white portraits and flower photos.
He caused quite a controversy with this series.

And believe it or not you can find this one with Moderate SafeSearch on
(sorry about this last one, my bad)

Alex, I'll take bad-boy LA artists for $50.

This boisterous, hard-drinking, skirt-chasing LA-based artist could certainly be considered a bad boy. He lived fast and died young. Who is....

This artist was of particular interest to my husband and his classmates at Chouinard, a school this artist briefly attended, since he was a major figure in the local art scene and died during my husband's freshman year.

(Personal note: We were astounded to find a large work by this gentleman at a resale gallery a number of years back for what seemed like a very good price. The gallery owner admitted she "didn't particularly like it." We agonized over the still high (to us) price and called her back to say we'd take it. When we came in to collect the work the dealer told us someone from a main-line gallery in town had come in afterwards and told her she'd asked about half of what she should have. We've known Claire for years, so she was being honest about that. Who knows if it's worth more than we paid, but we're happy! We thought at that price we were buying a print, but after getting it out of the frame we discovered it was, indeed, a drawing.)

John Altoon
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia wrote:
John Altoon (1925-1969),

Leah Ollman describes his life the best in an 1999 article in Art in America, "With his outsized personality and reckless intensity, John Altoon loomed large in the L.A. art scene of the '50s and '60s. Almost 30 years after his death, a survey exhibition afforded another look at this provocative artist.

John Altoon was one of the baddest of the bad boys who shaped the Los Angeles art scene of the 1950s and '60s. A swarthy, imposing figure, he boasted of riding his motorcycle at speeds over 100 mph, and of driving a car blindfolded.

Altoon's struggle with mental illness, his big, dark, robust personality and his early death from a heart attack at 43 have, even more than his art itself, come to define his legacy."

From the Inner Circle to the In....

This versatile artist had a career that encompassed pop, soul, and even country. He charted in 1965 with a song which was a much, much bigger hit as an instrumental by a leading jazz trio. Neither this gentleman nor the leader of the eponymous trio were or are considered "bad boys."
