Actually just needed time, not the extra hint but that certainly nailed it!
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inexplicably located in Cleveland. (Not really inexplicably....they outbid other, more likely cities.) |

That structure put me in mind of this one. Certainly there's a museum involved, but the rock inside doesn't roll.

Ah, in Paris, the Louvre Pyramid. I don't know what is inside. But I understand this is a good city for scooters.

Do you think this pop artist is displayed there?
What I mess I made of his painting, but a scooter fits perfectly.

I am hoping that no tag means that you all had a great warm spring weekend to go riding.
But, just in case, I went back to search for my photo. It is no longer easy to find, in fact I needed at least part of the painting name to find it. Go figure. I am unable to think up great clues this morning so I submit a much easier to find poster in a Max size help make this move along. Tag either one or both, no problem. This is a portion of the poster cropped to hide the artist's name.

I've afraid I've been wildly busy lately. And yes, it was a lovely day to ride yesterday...so I did!
No need for more clues...it was on the second page of my search....but then I still have the Peter Max plate from back in the day. I did sell the Peter Max bedsheets on eBay to a collector in Japan some years back. Also, please post clues, not a completely different image. Confuses the heck out of me because I then think I need to get both. Just don't have time right now so you only get the original one. Peter's really more of an illustrator than an artist. He was very much "of his time." Cosmic! Wow...far out, man!

And since I need to be working right now, instead of staying "on topic" and riffing on the current thread I'm going to use an image I already had prepped earlier.
This multi-talented artist - musician, actor, rapper, dancer, singer - has a style all his own...quirky, and unique for someone in the field in which he first gained fame. He was voted one of the World's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities a few years ago. Even his stage name is 991 years ahead of its time!

And here I was planning to work and not play.
The Avengers! I just loved this very arch show! Diana Rigg was responsible for carbonating many a young lad's hormones, and she was a role model for young women eager to explore new ways of being. |

That would be the perpetually busy Spike Jonze, who is trying to wrap-up a dark version of "Where the Wild Things Are". The video still is from Kanye West's "See You in my Nightmares."
What, is she like two feet tall or something? Look at the scale in relationship to the car bumper!

Now oddly, some folks STILL get these two directors confused.
There's a TV channel that has the same name too, but nobody confuses that....or do they?

You're right there is a TV channel with that name and this is one of their biggest shows.
(hint you just need the initials) |

Speaking of televised sports with reputations for being somewhat staged, we have this 1950 example.

that would be,
The Sport of Inline Speed Skating It does not have Olympic status, however a number of inline speed skaters have switched to ice speed skating in order to have a chance at attending the Olympics. KC Boutiette, who made the switch in late 1993 and skated at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Derek Parra, Jennifer Rodriguez, Joey Cheek and Chad Hedrick (who was the first American to win that event since Eric Flaim in 1988.) In 2006, Hedrick and Cheek also won one gold medal each at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. (source Wikipedia) hmm, don't think Godzilla is a big fan of speed skating. ; )

well Spike has the UFC and this cable channel has this .......
(well they also have the Dog) It's the contemporary version of the old roller derby, a little more campy with costumes inspired by rockabilly or burlesque fashions and creative examples of word play aliases such as Sister Mary Jane, Punky Bruiser and Miss Conduct (picture here). You'll need the name of the channel as well as the name of the show. yeah that's how I roll, girl

Well that would be A&E channel's Rollergirls. (but in order to tag this, you can't put in the "&" part of the channel name)
What do you think you're looking at, Scooter Boy?

In keeping with this theme....I remember when this came out it was supposed to be the most VIOLENT film to date! (ca. 1975)
Must've been because they used those nasty motorcycles instead of our sweet little scoots! Where's your balls now, boy?

Never saw it and probably won't Despite the cool dystopia setting, it isn't supposed to be a classic |

well Sly was in this 1975 cult action film along with a very S/M looking David Carradine who was named after the main character in The Modern Prometheus.

But you do need to find, alter, and post a version of the original image to get credit for the tag. ID'ing the movie is not enough!
So the image you posted would be along these lines... Post again with the tag image and it's all yours!
