Oldhighway, do you lurk here all day? Holy cow!
I have spent a lot of time in that area (OSU and Clintonville), in many apartments lol. If I hadn't, I would have had no clue whatsoever! It was a great tag. And now I'll probably have someone knocking at my door, wondering why I was taking pics in front of a school during school hours. |

My wife went to that grade school. No one will come knocking on your door, the school is locked up.
Yeah, I lurk here all day, except when I'm scootering for new tag locations. I've only been in c-bus for a year, so all this riding around is giving me geography and history lessons. Gracias. |

Kathy, are safe from me. I went out again and I think I was within smelling distance but I couldn't find a way down to the spot. It's all yours, I officially cry "Uncle!"
Yeah, it's Hocking Hills weekend! Do we have a navigator or start time yet? I'll get in touch with Sam as soon as we have an itinerary and head count. |

I don't know if you have picked a meet up spot but remember that Sunday is the Columbus Marathon and we should probably check the map to avoid getting stuck.

Oh my, you've pulled out all the stops, even got Tom out for the adventure! Game on, even if it rains. Good job on finding that place. Can you give the general vicinity, so I know if I was close or not?

We are on for Sunday find out what time we can get into the shop we well head south from there, I would say lets meet at White Castle on Arcadia and High how does that sound 10 am sound good to everyone, we want to get out of the hill before I would say 4:00 after dusk the deer will start moving supposed to be a nice day, Check out the nice white wall on the back of my bike getting the front on done this week. |

Yay, you got it! I hadn't gone back there in a while, so I'm riding, riding, and WHAM! House clones.
Oldhighway, for no particular reason I had the impression that you had lived around here for a long time. That bridge crosses the Scioto just north of W. 5th Ave at 33. Cross 33 (heading west) then turn right on Lake Shore Dr. That goes right under it. Nice little spot, then like I said...clone houses in the old quarry. ETA that oops, I posted at the same time as the rest of you I guess. |

Wow, I wasn't as close as I thought! I was south of that area.
I like the 10:00 AM at the White Castle. We should probably forgo the doughnuts and coffee at Motohio as it would probably run us behind schedule. Head count? Anyone heard from Scouser? |

Hello Twojacks, I work at NW in the Parkwood building off of Rings Rd. up in Dublin. I keep thinking about riding to work but may wait until next spring. Sorry about messing up Scooter Tag - still learning the basics here.
We are not sure about Sunday yet. |

How did you find that
All right I guess its time to get serious with this game, how did you find that did you happen to see my first picture it was up for only two seconds.
Hey Belle jump in here and join the fun ! Don't worry about giving up my corn feild location, but you do owe me a picture of your scooter sitting right there in the middle of it. ![]() Gary we need to post the ride on the Columbus rides, will you do that? We have some friends down there in Hocking Hills said we should all stop by its really a cool place way off the beaten path if you want we could take refreshments and some hot dogs or something they would love to fire up the grill for us. Nice TAG, how did you find it? |

One day as my wife. son and I were driving down McCoy in Upper Arlington. My son saw a caboose - now we have to drive by ALL THE TIME! This is a privately owned caboose. It is literally sitting in their backyard.
I hope this next one flummoxes even the most dedicated Columbusite.... |

Down for front tire replacement but I will be back on the road again today!
I have no clue on this last one When do we recive the first hint? Good find on the caboose. |

Good find Dustin, it's actually owned by the Rutherford family, of the Rutherford Funeral Home on High Street.
Your next one is difficult! |

A hint....
First off, I haven't stretched the rules, this location is squarely within Franklin County. In fact, it's east of 71/315. Further, Google will be of limited help with this one... because the location doesn't actually officially exist yet. BTW - I have a good location on the Train theme, but I wanted to get this one in before the weather turned. |

How about a bigger picture? Make it like one of my extra large shots.
I don't know why my pictures are so big |

This picture was taken just before sundown.
I was trying to come up with a whittier clue, but just can't think of one right now. If this wider shot doesn't help, I will sharpen my pencil. |

What do you guys use to post photos?
I stopped uploading and I am now using Picassa Web Albums. Its awesome.
I use Picassa to upload to a Public Web Album. Then I use the link function to "host" the picture from there. I typically use 400 dpi but this last picture I used 800dpi. Which do you guys like? There isn't any more info in the larger pics, they are just larger. What do you guys do? |

I was hoping to pick something out of your picture in the horizon but what I thought I saw was not there. But do tell us more the first picture was taken during the day the other at dusk, do you hang out here often? was that a boat ramp and you did say east of 71 ?? ![]() ![]() |

HuntKop - thanks. I was afraid the clue might be too obvious.
Twojacks - actually both pictures were taken at the same time, its just that the sun was setting in the frame of the second. The first picture didn't have the sun in the frame and the color turned out better. Yes, it is a boat ramp. Also - depends on how you define 'often' maybe once every two weeks I will grab lunch and go there. Yes, east of I-71. Nothing on the horizon except for some non-descript radio towers which wouldn't help. Now if you could see with xray vision through the trees - you might be able to place the location But my camera only takes pictures in the visible spectrum ![]() |

Twojacks,
one other thing - the second picture is taken to the right of the boat ramp on slightly higher ground. |

Aargh! I thought I had it, but 45 miles of riding around confirms that I don't. I think I may have been close. All I needed was Huck Finn, a raft, and a long pole.

OldHighway7 where were you? The sentence below my wide picture post (Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:20 pm) provided the street you need to be on. Knowing that it is next to a body of water should narrow it down to one place. in the City.
Let me know if you need more info. But definitely let me know where you thought it was. |

Ah-ha, now I know the error of my ways. Too bad, I'm in court tomorrow morning or I'd snag it! I went to the confluence and Two Rivers and the restaurant but was not in the right place. I see the clue you left, no need to post any more, yet.
In the matter of the court appearance, I'm not on trial, just a witness to the witness. 8) |

45 miles because I'm still trying to figure out north from south and so on. At one point I found myself on W. Broadway, nearly out of the city. With all of your help and scooter tag, I'm going to know this town inside-out.
