Nope, I dropped off Omets at school and am stuck with 4 wheels. Smets took the scoot and got the tag. We have a lead on a custom blue ET4 for her. We'll see how that goes...

You right it was cold out there, we tried to go North this morning with Jeff on the ride to Prospect we got up to Rt36 and headed back down the other side of the river it was just to cold ! ( I wussed out) They were sweet about it but I figured that while I was out I might as well play some TAG !

I have to admit, I always thought this was a discarded sofa and a blight on High Street. Now, I find out I'm just a country bumpkin that doesn't know art when I see it.

On my way to the Grandview library, I spied a pearl ET4 with blue flames. Is there a new member in the family?

There is! We picked it up in Chicago yesterday. It's a 2001 with 170 miles on it, ridden by a retiree around a small community to visit his buddies. His son is the one who sold it. The son is into motorcycles, and evidently is quite the mechanic judging from his garage. The only problem is, we think he tuned up the Vespa as he would a motorcycle so the throttle needs to be adjusted and the steering is wonky. It shouldn't be a big deal to fix, and it looks like the next few days will be fine for that with the cold and the snow in the forecast. Otherwise it's perfect. The flames come off, they aren't painted on. They are peeling a little around some of the edges along the grill in front so we'll see. It seems I will be highly visible if I leave them on lol.

Congrats Ms. Mets! We can we expect the pictures from it's first photo shoot?

The scoot is in great condition. Needs some adjustments but other than that runs great and looks fabulous. Plus it was a fun road trip, on the spur of the moment. We got to visit friends in Chicago. Overall something we haven't done since becoming parents. Owen had a great time too.

Pearl huh is that what I read ? Cool you will love the color. I have a pearl top case if you guys are interested its in mint condition.

Yeah, you guys should seriously consider Twojacks topcase. Those things are very spendy for the retail price and hard to find in some cases, at least in matching colors.

Smets, congratulations on your new scooter. That's great news! My used bike had a top case already installed when I bought it and at first, wasn't too sure I would keep it but now that I've had it, I love it. It's secure, water tight and gives me the extra storage that is great for short trips around town.

We live right down the street so let me know if you want to go for a ride sometime when it warms up a little bit.

For Twojacks, I am wondering what to do this winter as well. I am going to have to start with some new hobbies. This is going to be hard as I really got used to running errands and taking rides at night after work. Going to the grocery is just not going to be as fun as it used to be. Maybe we need to tough it out and plan a "Holiday Light" ride? Might be fun to go slow and see the lights in the short north, Grandview area or maybe I am just sensing my upcoming desperation to ride:)

Lets all plan that we could do a little x-mas dinner get together and a ride afterwards if the weather cooperates. I extened my insurance coverage until the first of the year already.

As far as I know, as long as the roads are ridable, we will be out there... So we're up for a holiday lights/Christmas run/{insert your favorite winter solstice celebration here} ride.

I am up for a Holiday ride. Dinner sounds great afterwards.

We're up for a holiday ride, too. I remember giving rides around the block to my niece and nephew last year a few days after Christmas because it was so warm out at that time. Hopefully we'll have that again this year.

I went out on a tag mission this morning, but was unsuccessful. I was unprepared. I also had a date with my Grandma. 8)

So I was going to post pics of the new flaming pearl ET4 and boast of my success, but since that didn't work out, I'm posting these anyway. I took them while it was cloudy, so you can't really see all the pearly goodness. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the flames or not.





Belle, I would love to go for a ride sometime. I'm at home in the mornings alone until 11, when I need to pick up O from preschool. Any other time I need to make arrangements for the little guy or make sure Dustin is at home.

Twojacks, we didn't get to Scooterworks. They were closed by the time we got in on Saturday and they also were closed on Sunday. We were out of luck that way, and pressed to begin with. I hate to think of the damage if they had been open. And of course, we'll be freshly accessorized if every thing goes according to plan this weekend. Looks like I'll be owing some beers. 8)

Regarding the install of the topcase; you will need the luggage rack on your scoot for the install. I think you have it. Twojacks should have the mounting hardware. Every topcase I've seen mounts onto the luggage rack.

I have to admit, I know more about the LX than the ET.

Just looking at Smets scoot again, are those the reflective flames? They are pretty cool if they are. Can't see it much in the daylight, but at night they are awesome.

And hey I do like the flames their not bad at all, I want the clear lenses for my turn signals I will let you know if I find them and please let me know if you hear of any.
