Modern Vespa

I bought a used 2015 GTS. It didn't come with the standard Vespa folding rear rack. It had the standard grab bar that comes on a Super. I bought the Faco folding rack on the advice that when I was ready to purchase the matching Vespa topbox, there wouldn't be any issues. Fast forward a couple of months. I'm ready to purchase the topbox and someone else at the store explains that it won't fit the rack naturally because the Faco rack doesn't have the precut holes in the back of the rack.

Has anyone mounted the Vespa topbox to the Faco rack?

One of the first things i did was get the matching topcase for my gts with backrest, however not fitted to the folding rack rather the standard rack from faco. Everything fitted a treat. I have the 42l case which allows storage for 2 open helmets. Bought the complete set at SIP. My scoot is the 300 gts 2016.

I can also recommend the footpeg extenders for the passenger. My wife love riding on the vespa now.

It won't fit the Faco folding rack, you need either the Vespa Original folding rack or the FA or Vespa fixed rack to get it to work. As Englischdude mentions SIP sells it as a kit including the F.A. Italia rack as do most vendors. I got mine from my local dealer and they gave me 15% off on the original Vespa parts and it was the same as buying online and now I have friends at the dealer.

I was at SIP in landsberg last week and picked up a copy of their latest catalogue. Here the page. Seems they offer a set with tje folding rack too.

Be sure to check out AFI Racing in Austin Texas. I bought the rack and the large top case Flat Black and Orange to match my 2014 GTS 300 with Orange trim. The most wonderful people to deal with and the top case was about $200 cheaper than anywhere else I could find. I brought it to my local Vespa daler here in NOLA to install it for the hourly rate. Love it.

Thanks for the replies. I think I've found someone selling their 2010 300 GTS that is willing to swap out their original Vespa rack for my Faco rack for $50. I shouldn't have any issues with a 2010, should I?

Did you try a youtube search. Maybe someone has figured out how to do it.

I might also suggest a consideration of other Top Boxes. I got the matching Vespa box when I bought my GTS but was disappointed in the quality and function of the top box. I returned it and went with a Shad SH39 box instead. Mostly because I have an SH50 on my other bike and I like how they function compared to Givi boxes. You'll save some $$$ as well.

I have a 2022 GTS Super Sport and looking to get the Faco folding rack.

Will the Vespa matching top case with backrest have enough clearance to open without the rack obstructing it
