That Hornet is cracking value, and if it was something I'd use for regular transport then it would be hard to ignore.

For a weekend bit of fun, I really like the BSA.

God I love being single.

I think that someone at Honda looked at the Indian competition and thought - If we pitch it at just a bit above the other two it will sell bucket loads.

I'm not saying that I'm going to get one but it is a viable alternative.

Down that road madness lies.

I've sort of promised myself the BSA after a very understated test ride a few months back.

I fear that if I do ride the Hodna I'll have to start the whole process again.

It goes without saying that if you rode all three bikes the Hodna would come out on top and it wouldn't take much time to justify the extra £300.

Right now, knowing how I think I'm going to try and prevent that.

I think that they really have done themselves proud with that bike.

I rode the Hornet a couple of weeks ago at on a demo ride day at my local dealer. It had the quick shifter fitted.

It was a lot of fun, easy to ride, lightweight and just made me laugh. I'm considering buying one too. The looks are a bit meh in my opinion but I'm not looking at it when riding it!

2023 Honda Hornet 750

I just read a review on this bike. What impressed me was the
low weight only 419 lbs. My 2022 Kymco AD550 is 463 lbs.
I bought the Kymco because it was basically the same weight
as my prior Suzuki Burgman 400. I like the handling of bikes
at that lower weight.

I am not currently in the market for another bike. I would buy
this Honda.

Unfortunately, I am not like Bill Dog and single. My Blushing
Bride would crap purple if a got a third two wheeler. Yes, she
who must be obeyed.

I had a Clubmans DB32, which accompanied me when emigrating to New Zealand in 1959. Later, that was followed up with a DBD34 . Both used as BSA intended. Halcyon days.
I know which one I'd buy...just sayin'

ps. I dropped it three times before a got the hang of using the front brake hard, and leaving the rear end slides to the speedway style of the Kiwi boys.

It's a pickle isn't it.

Resign your individuality and go for something that's probably brilliant at everything ( but no one cares ) or have an unwanted 30 minute conversation at every gas stop.

Bimota have made some incredible motorcycles in the past but that's not one of them.

I had a Hodna NCX with a DCT a couple of years back and it was so well thought out it had no quirks or traits I was bored of it within three months.

I'd fear the same thing happening again.

BSA is still in the lead.

Yes, I have the Moto Guzzi experience and the KLV hasn't sold so rather than have a Garage Princess the V7 can go up for sale and I'll monopolise on the Kawasaki and BMW.

There may be a Burgman in my future though. Just sayin.

Both the V9 Bobber and the V7 Racer have now been sold.

The KLV is proving to be a hoot to ride.

The Burgman idea is on hold as I've been offered Genie's old Kymco Downtown.

Picked it up this morning. It's great!

Also got this little guy. He's great!

He has the loudest purr of any cat I've had, and you only need to give him the slightest touch to set it off.

I'm still aiming for the BSA in March.

I doubt that old thumper is going to purr in any way at all.

Do people still pop across the Channel for a day trip these days, now that the border checks exist again?
