Hello fellow MVers.

I have recently put Bitubo shocks on front and rear. They are set to factory defaults and while I do feel more planted at speed I can tell they need a bit of tweaking.

So my question is, how can you tell when the shocks feel "just right"?

Maybe a stupid question but I'm not afraid to ask those on occasion.

Should the scoot feel nice and smooth or is it better to have them a little stiffer and feel the bumps? I've always run my scoots with stock shocks and have never adjusted them. I will adjust my tire pressure for 2 up and heavy loads etc but have left the shocks alone.

Any advice is most welcome. Apologies if this has been covered ad nauseum so I someone wants to point me to a thread, that's cool as well.

Really the only way to tell is get a notebook and write down your settings and your ride impressions feel. Also the weight.

Maybe start with 0 preload on the springs then turn your rebound /compression settings to 1 extreme or another.

There will never be an ideal setup unless you ride the same roads.

As Turboblew says, they will never be perfect for all roads and conditions. Mine feel perfect when I am at speed down the highway, but on one stretch of bumpy road just near my home I always feel they are set too hard.

I had the dealer install new front & rear shocks several months ago and found they were too stiff for me based on the dealers adjustment.

I found the instructions in the link below and slowly adjusted the shocks for more comfortable ride. Adjusted a little then went for a ride until I got the front dialed in to where I feel comfortable with compression spring about 50% and rebound value set to 4 clicks.

Bitubo's on my LX, anyone know the best adjustment?
