Can anyone remind me what conditions require that? I know it brings the coils closer to the magnets but what scooters require that? This kit is going to replace my stock 6V Femsa system with a Femsa crank. Thanks guys

So they have tried packing the stator out a little which then aligns the magnets with the coils better. No idea which cases/cranks have this issue. So the answer to your question might be "When it doesn't work".
