Wisdom of the forum wanted:
I'm a little overdue on drive belt and "sliding block variable speed rollers" replacement. I'm a big guy (6'2" 270+- lbs) I've had a little shudder on accell from early on w/my scoot, but, in general I'm OK with how it performs.
Question: stick w/stock replacement parts....or is there something much better available aftermarket?
Thanks,
motresyklman .

If you aren't upgrading with intent and knowledge about that upgrade, stick with stock.

If you're interested in upgrading something, learn all you can.

Personally I've stuck with stock all along.

I'd think for somebody your size some Dr. Pulley sliders would make a nice difference. Over the winter I put on some weight due to being sick and with clothing and gear I'm about 245 lbs right now. I'd think some 19g sliders would make a nice improvement getting it moving from a stop.

updates?
I did a search of the forum for DrPully & Fuzzy washers. Found plenty of info...but most is from 2014. Before I start contacting listed sources for belts, fuzzy washers Dr. Pully , Variator tool etc., has anyone done all that recently? New sources? Old sources no longer in business? Just trying to avoid reinventing the wheel.
Thanks much,
Motresyklman

scooterpartsco.com for a belt get the malosi it is much cheaper than oem and as good or better. ( all I use now)
than can also get you dr pulley sliders or get you stock weight rollers.
I have had the same set of 17gram sliders in for 30,000 miles and they look great with now wear.
I am sure they also can get you the buzzetti variator tool.

Fuzzy washer might have on laying around send me a pm with your address.
