Those do look interesting. Wonder if the seals are off the shelf or some DRT specific type? They look like they could be PX style fly side seals. Used in conjunction with the PX taper conversion crank, I can see potential for an older motor (PX electronic ignition, greater crank strength, better (Viton/PTFE) seals.

Very interesting! But I wish that SIP would do some better descriptions! It's pretty vague as to how they fit.

Just ordered a pair of these for my VBC motor rebuild. Going to use them in conjunction with the longstroke conversion crank (PX taper). All the porting is done, old bearings and seals are out, the cases have been through a hot dishwasher, and I'm just waiting for these adapters to be delivered.
Will report on the quality, fit and finish, and the type of oil seal used. |

i've tried them but i had a problem with the flyside it protruded out too far so that my flytec stator wouldnt't sit on its mount properly so i could only use one
you get quite a few shims to space the bearing with so you've to do a bit of careful measuring a heads up i'd advise that you look at the seals they come already installed in the bush i found on the ones i received the seal lip stuck out so it could have been rubbed away by the inner race of the bearing oh and the fitting instuctions that come them with are in Italian only |

Thanks Shipscat. Mine arrived today and I'm trying to translate the instructions. Am I correct to think that the flywheel side adapter is inserted from the stator side of the case, so that the flange sits on the outside, not the bearing side?
They look pretty well made, but I can see a few challenges ahead. I am using the stator and flywheel from a 2016 PX125. |

Here's the diagram on the back of the instructions. Looks obvious that the flywheel side adapter inserts on the stator side, but I would have preferred the flange to be locked tight between the bearing and the inside of the crankcase. Hope the adapter can not get dislodged with pressure and movement of the crank.

they are a very tight fit be sure to heat the casing when you fit the and make sure you use a good fitting punch to tap or press them in
as for crank case pressure pushing the fly side out impossible for the fly side crank bearing impossible the shims take up the thickness of the old style seal the shims with the kit are the same size as the outer bearing race so no probelms there its just measuring i used dummy bearings for the stator i used a kind of putty plasticine/blue tac type stuff put it round where the bushing will fit and then fit and removed the stator i cut a small section out and measured the gap then measured the shoulder on the bushing with a vernier caliper i think these bushings are quite flimsy and would deform easily with repeated removing and refitting |
