Just curious, how many helmets do most riders have at one time?

As a lady rider I like to mix and match my riding gear as much as possible. Thinking about adding a 5th helmet to my collection. Also with the weather in Florida good to have more than one for riding back to back days in hot weather to help keep the interior clean and fresh.

Haha good call.
I have 2. Ones able to be full face and open for the bad weather days. Then I have my all time favourite which I try to wear as much as is possible. Until a helmet I find better looking comes out I'm strangely happy with just those 2.

I'm thinking in hot climates, helmets should be like leather shoes. Never waer the same two days in a row. Always let one ,or more, pair "breathe"
I don't need to tell women about having multiple pairs of shoes. |

3, 2 full face and one 3/4. The full face each match the bike with an Italian themed AGV for the Vespa and a gloss black Arai for the BMW. I'd have more but need to have a Sena in my lids which adds a fair amount to the price.

I have many more helmets than I have heads, my wife says. I'm not gonna count 'em this morning, but if they were rings I'd probably have more than I have fingers on my left hand. And I just threw out two of the oldest ones.
Buying a shiny new helmet in the middle of winter cheers me up! |

I have 3 helmets; an old Bell, an Arai and a Nolan. The first two are oldish so I only wear the Nolan now. I cannot bring myself to throw out the other two!

I counted them in my head this morning. 10
But I only wear two these days. They are identical day glo yellow scorpion 3/4 helmets. One is maybe five years old, the other two. I only bought the second to replace the first when it finally wears out. The first has broken bits but is so comfortable that it is still my go to helmet. I wear the newer one on Oyster Tours because it matters to Lostboater. He always comments on my helmet choice, so the fresh one goes with him. Bill

I have two....bought the first one as a newb-a 3/4 cheapie. With more research decided I really wanted FF so bought my Shoei. Love it, probably replace it when it's aged out, but for the price I'll hold on until I need to replace it.

Let's see...I have a Shoei that has "aged out" and a flip-up Hi-viz Fulmer that is almost there. My daily helmets are a Shoei FF a Shoei flip-up (both white with some stickers), an Icon hi-viz Airmata FF, and a red-white-black-blue Arai FF.
SSR Helmet mods Don't worry about getting a helmet to match your jacket.... just buy another jacket. |

I have two, A Vespa copter helmet and a Nolan flip up.
I wear the Nolan almost exclusively - it's comfy, well vented, and has my Sena mounted. The Copter helmet mostly sits in a closet. My previous Nolan got banged up badly last year in a lowside. I gave it to one of the members in my club who is an EMT to use as a training tool with his department. |

My husband has two, a full face, and a 3/4. I have 1.5, a full face for me and a half helmet I share with the kids.
I have a very small noggin (52 cm, 20.5") and my XS full face is too big. The half helmet fits just right with one exception, as a youth medium it's not made deep enough from top to bottom for an adults head. I'd be happy to add a color matched Vespa helmet to my collection, but alas, the smallest available is still too roomy for me. I would love to have one that fits properly (and can be worn in 110+ degree weather) so I'm open to suggestions.
My HJC Flutura, which I love, is too large.

Currently I have one helmet. A Scorpion EXO 1100. It's 6 years old and I will replace soon. I like the idea of having a second. I should have bought one about 2.5 years in on my current so I had a broken in replacement. Now I will have to go through the discomfort of breaking one in.

Currently have 3. All 1/2s. 2 are Bell Pit Bosses one white one black. The third came with an LX I purchased second hand years ago. Not sure of brand. I've been thinking about getting something with more protection but the selection is endless & confusing. I also want to get a Sena and be able to transfer to different helmets.

A Shoei that I'm doing my best to wear out so I can switch full time to my new Arai. Both full faced race helmets. I like the safest head protection available.
Also, almost always wear a Helite air vest. It's heavy and bright and feel safer knowing it will blow up like the Michelin Man if I get off the scoot'. |

Don't forget, y'all, when you are done with a helmet offer it to your local Emergency Management group. They might need one for training porpoises.

I had five but have narrowed it to two. My Nolan N44 and N21. The N21 is my daily short distance runner and the N44 is for my highway riding and longer distances. Both are excellent, Italian and meet my needs for all riding.

I have 3, HJC CL Max, HJC RPHA-Max and my newest Schuberth C3 Pro, all modulars. The issue I have in alternating wearing them, is they all function differently, lifting shield, operating sun visor, locating air vents, D-rings or buckle straps.

I have one, I don't have space to keep more than one and more importantly they are expensive so doubt i would buy more than one at a time. I air it out and every few weeks Ill wash the inner padding it is detachable.

I have two lids - three if you count the new one still in the box in the passage cupboard. (I buy my own Burbday presents!)
I wear an open face with the Vespa and a full face with the GS's. I air them out over the bike mirrors and every week I dust them with a teaspoon of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to keep them fresh as a daisy. I use the 5-year rule and replace my lids every 5th birthday. |
