Am in the process of restoring a VBA 150 and have installed a mazzucchelli crank
( http://www.sip-scootershop.com/.../racing+crankshaft+mazzucch... ) and am trying to fit a Cosa 2 clutch (22 teeth) ( http://www.sip-scootershop.com/.../clutch+sip+cosa+2+sport+_9... ) but am having trouble getting it to fit. Have used a micrometer and there is close to a 0.3mm difference. Not sure whether I should try and force it on/use a puller of some type, or whether I should take it to an engineer, or is it SIP's problem?

Hoping someone has some advice?

What did SIP say about this? I would start there.

Thanks Ginch. Am waiting on a response from them - they have been very slow. Will come back with an update when I hear from them

I certainly wouldn't try to force it on.
You could call them, there's always someone there who speaks English. Might help you to get further up the list.

Any chance of getting the motor in the freezer and the clutch basket in the oven at 400 degrees? Not sure if it would be enough, but it could be worth trying and seeing if they slip together.

this is one of those times that "get a bigger hammer" would probably be a bad thing...

PIS is ALWAYS slow...

That's why we tend to not use them...
-rather use Scooter Centre Cologne.

Good luck anyway!

I know it's been 7 years so hope the OP is still active. Did you ever get a resolve for this as I'm having exactly the same problem with a px200 and cosa clutch, original piaggio crank is a snug fit but not this Mazi crank.

Just heat up centre of clutch (as mentioned above).
I use a blow torch with blue flame blowing thru hole
