Hi guys I have Vespa lx 50 took it to a mechanic recently to change belt rear brakes /rollers . On the way back the bike went off kick starter jammed .. took back to mechanic n he is not admitting liability. Anyhow

Now when I opened the Kickstarter housing n tried diagnosing my self realised the bendix keeps popping out of location and jams Kickstarter n belt somehow , kindly help

There should be a bracket that holds the bendix in. Basically a bridge with screws on either side, with a slot in the middle where the bendix front end slips in.

Pic below is from Genuine Buddy, but I'd think an LX50 would be similar.

No don't think the LX has that bridge.
Think it's held in place by a bearing at each end.
With the casing off, you can simply grab the Bendix and remove it.

Check the bearing hasn't fallen out of the casing.

It's odd because if you've pushed it home so it's sat poking out once the covers on it has no where to go.

So yeh check the bearing or bush is there first I'd say.
