Hi everyone.

I'm installing all new gears in my 05 Stella and I wanted to confirm a couple things before I start reassembling the motor.

1- There are two snap ring clips and spacers on each side of the gear stack on the axle. Does the thicker (~1.25mm) washer go inboard (against 4th)? The parts catalog shoes the oversize options against 1st gear some I'm inclined to think the thicker is constant and goes inboard and the outer (against 1st) is the one that can be changed to obtain the correct stack tolerance.

2- I'm installing a new flat style cross and the parts catalog doesn't show a washer in-between the cross and plunger unlike the order vespas. My parts supplier stated no washer. I think there was a very thin "wave" washer on the old cross but I just wanted to get some opinions before I seal it up.

Thanks!

Daryl

You would be much better off posting on the NSM side - that's two stroke territory where there are more riders that can help you.

2- there's no washer used under the Stella or the PX EFL shift cross.

1. 1mm washer against 4th gear cog. Thicker, the other side. You should shim the gears. Clearance should be between 0.15mm to 0.40mm (see photo)...

2. There's no washer...

Thanks for the heads up. I'm fairly new to this site and was looking for a way to move this thread but it looks like it's been moved. Cheers
