P200 1980 no mods. New shock. I thightend all that could be thightend from the big top nut all the way though the fender, wheel, Linkage. Getting worst and scary. If im driving and giggle the steering it feels rubbery?
Do you think the tube is cracked in the frame? It looks good from what i can see visable. Do you think those rubber bushings on the linkage would cause the wooble?

Do you have anything (ie a loaded topbox) on the rear?

Is it a new problem?
If so, what parts did you change before the problem started?

Did it start after/before you fitted the shock?

Did it start after/before you tightened the nut?

Has it had an accident or hit a curb?

Can you please put up some pics, specially front on & side on, on the centre stand with the steering nice n straight (possibly bent fork)

Can you replace the front wheel with the spare & see if there is a difference (bent rim)

One good first check. When on the main stand grab the front tyre top and bottom and give it a push and pull to see if if there is excess play and try and diagnose where its coming from.

Could very well just be bad rubber. Different tread patterns react differently.

Check rear shock, tire & mounts.
Wear in the back often translates to squirrelliness in steering.

I've had the new shock on there for years. I took the old grey shock covers and put them on for looks. The tire is old no doubt but I don't know if it would make it feel rubbery ?

Ditch that rotten sidewall Kenda tire for a start...other than that are there any signs of a front end collision? A bent fork will feel squirrely...

For starters your Tyre is completely & utterly KNACKERED, & 100% UNSAFE!
There should NEVER EVER EVER be CRACKS on the sidewall!

My guess it's been flat for a long time , when you pump it up there is a flat spot causing it to "jump" every turn
PLUS... There is some debris on the bead.

Seems ok. For me with tyres from this century, 16 front and 35 back seem to work better.

That scooter has been standing idle for a long time. Change all 3 tyres, all 3 inner tubes, rust proof and spray paint the rims too.

This my wobbly shock
So I took everything apart on the front end and everything looks ok, even the rubber bushing on top of the shock. Im thinking its just the shock and the spring it has.
I put new tire on to

They look good n pretty.

Remember some good sticky tyres... 3 tyres, 4 tubes.
Something like these:

Hey mate, the new tires will make a massive differance.
Another thing to bear in mind is the rims. I had a jittery front end at high speeds that took ages to sort. Same scoot as you, 78 P2. Tires always good, new shock, still there. New rims, gone.... Worth a try but first get new tires!

And good tires, not nasty ones! There are tires that are shit - generally the cheap ones. Second SEBs suggestion re the Pirellis. A really good all round option.

...all this talk about getting brand new tires. A brand new tire has never been road tested. Who knows how reliable it is? With a 20 year old tire that's weather checked, you can darn well be sure that it has been road tested for many, many miles for many, many years. The deeper the cracks are, obviously the more reliable the tire is. How is this possible you ask?...well if someone is still using a 40 year old Ceet brand tire, you can be sure that i'ts never had a blow out in the past. That means it's road tested as well as time tested.

*disclaimer*
My buddy and i always joke about how weather checked tires are more reliable than brand new ones because new tires have no history.
