Just bought this kit so i can clean my helmets. Hedon (British company) makes this and yes that's real leather on the front. Has 3 bottles. Leather cleaner, helmet cleaner and odor eliminator. Comes with a thick plush microfiber also. Poor helmets need some TLC. I also ordered some copper cleaner for the copper bits on my Hedon helmet. I love the box

For the hard areas of the helmet, a bit of car wax will help you on future cleanings
For the face shields, I use either Raincoat or Cee Baileys Rain Repellant. |

Maybe no Walmarts in HI?
They sell Lexol- as good a leather cleaner & preservative as any sold anywhere. Buy the orange and brown spray btls. and your set up for leather! Carwax as already said for hard stuff. Face shield I like mild soap and hot water with a soft cloth like micro fiber. Inside afte I sweat in it a bit-I use the stuff my wife sprays on clothes-name escapes me...or wash in Woolite Dark version on gentle cycle. Copper-use Brasso-10 plus Army years taught me that one. Or use vinegar and salt which shines copper fast and easy. We did that when i was a kid playing with pennies. |

I've found a really good odor eliminator and live-cootie killer for helmets to be the sprays intended for use with body armor, and available at any cop-shop.
As for leather, this is Oklahoma, so we just go into the nearest feed-n-seed and grab a half-gallon of whatever they are carrying for saddles. It works pretty good on all the leather bits found on a helmet. And as an added plus, the helmet will smell like Cowboy Country. |

B not odd for living in Hawaii. Haven't worn my Ruby helmet this winter and when i took it out to clean it , it had some mold growing on the leather. Been rainy and damp here for months.

True. Haven't a clue what the exchange rate is these days but i have some expensive helmets. Behooves me to make sure i don't ruin them (inside leather) with cleaning stuff. This should last me a long time.
