Hey all...I have a question about my 350 and riding in the heat. Like over 100 degrees. So I live in Phoenix AZ and riding around today I noticed that as I stopped at stoplights I roll to a stop and the scooter does this pup, pup, pup, pup noise from the exaust. Never in cooler weather tho. It seems like the radiator struggles to keep up in stop and go traffic but begins to cool as I ride longer with no stopping. Other than that the scooter works very well. It seems like the engine compartment is too enclosed to cool maybe in the high heat? Dunno...Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

If its just from the exhaust can its probably nothing to worry about. The catalytic converter runs extremely hot and under the conditions you describe it might make noise through expansion of the outer shell. Is it a metallic sound? The radiator will be cooled by its own fan which is very likely to kick in when you come to a halt. You should be able to feel a blast of hot air coming out underneath the bodywork when the fan is on.

I have had no problems with my 350 in Texas heat over two summers.

If I idle for extended periods of time at stop lights due to traffic, the radiator fan will kick in, but it goes away once I start moving.

As for the exhaust sound, if you mean that when you coast to a stop there's a sort of "back fire" sound coming from the exhaust, mine does that, too, intermittently. As far as I know, it's nothing to worry about.
