I don't know what it is but I love the look on peoples face when you walk out with a cart full of food and load up your Vespa.

Exactly! Unless it's necessary for my task, my Honda Ridgeline doesn't move. I can do most ALL my errands on my GTV, including a large haul from the grocery store. I've seen folks watching me from inside their nearby vehicles as I load up my scooter.

Usually use the C650 for groceries as it has more storage but use the GTV often enough. The front rack can be a life saver on large loads.
We live in a pricey urban centre and our spot has room for 2 (maybe 3) bikes or a bike and a car. We have 2 bikes, the car was almost never used and I ride year round as long as there is no ice on the road anyway. Just 2 of us so not a lot of groceries. |

Oh yes, love using the Vespa for shopping. Amazing just how much you can get onboard. I often wonder what cage drivers think when they see me loading up. In fact just yesterday I purchased a back pack to further enhance shopping ability! The main advantage for me is the ability to bypass the heavy traffic in my town, which is near gridlocked on occasions. And riding my Vespa in ANY traffic conditions at any speed is just great fun!

I do it often. What I wouldn't do is put bananas & spinach in the pet carrier. I'm not crazy for cooked bananas. 😬

If I can, I do. Some interesting moments trying to squeeze the last few items in the pet carrier, or the 25# bag of cat food on the seat with cargo strap....it does make a nice little butt rest.....

Nothing better for keeping my carry-out warm than a 5-10 minute ride in the pet carrier. The Thai containers fit snugly sideways, and the large order of Middle Eastern food was a perfect fit last night.

All the time. I can get four good-sized bags of groceries in and on my scooter, without any of it going on the pillion seat. 2 bags in the top case, 1 bag under the seat, and one on the fuel door bridge between my knees.
Still plenty of room for that 25lbs bag of cat food behind me. |

My usual haul is 3 x 660ml bottles of beer in the glove box and of course a curry on the curry hook. Who needs under seat storage!

I always take the scoot on whatever errand I'm on, though below about 7 or 8 deg C I get a bit more reluctant. Vancouver rain can also be a deterrent. But with the box and the pet carrier, I can get quite a bit of stuff on the bike. Most critically, I can fit about 10 bottles of wine in the topbox; must be 45 l or so. Burritos go into the warm zone of course.
The TMax can't match the GTS or BV350 for storage, but for me, it's the scoot to commute and to shop, if at all possible. .... curry hook; that's a new one on me.... |

Even without a rear rack/top-box or front rack, it's amazing how much I manage to pack into/onto my GTS...and yes, it does draw stares and inquiries at the supermarket parking lot more often than not. So I'm usually the point-person for small-to-midsize shops, and the absolute go-to guy for take-out...even in the rain. |
