Darn these allergies and the antihistamines I must take...Wanted to scoot to work today, but was just a little too logey to trust myself. I stared and stared at the scoot...and then did the adult thing and drove the car to work.

<sigh>

Beats sneezing all day, though.

This time of year sucks! Its probably best you take the car, besides sneezing in a full face helmet is not cool.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks all will be back to normal

It's worse on a bicycle! On the scoot with my shield down it is not too bad. There's a certain spot near a golf course that I ride both the scooters and the bikes and my eyes water, itch, nose runs, etc. Horrible. Not sure what is around there- some kind of trees or flowers- that really get me going. The other day I was on a bike and realized all my tissues fell out somewhere along the way. That was truly horrible. AFTER I got home I realized that I had a spare package in the tail bag....

I have to load up ahead of time to stay ahead of the pollen. The constant yellow layer on cars, etc is a sure sign to stay off the scoot until you have the drugs well into your system.

Allergies - a real pain.
Sorry about your allergy situation. I do understand. I was really
impacted as a child and fortunately grew out of them. The adult
unset of allergies is tough.

I too, have suffered for the past 25 years. Think of how fast the pollen gets jammed into your face at 45MPH. It's like force-feeding! About the only thing you could do is wear a surgical mask.

^^^This^^^ and Allegra work without making me drowsy. Flonase needs to be used daily for it to work, Allegra is good whenever.

I did the opposite. I'm still scooting and I feel like my nasal cavity is a mucus factory, but while the weather is nice I just can't NOT ride. Ya know

Flonase works for me except that I am one of those people whose "mood" gets affected by steroids. So I have to use it very sparingly.

I don't ride during heavy pollen days. Around here the pollen is large enough to feel very gritty in my eyes. At night when I take the dogs out and use a flashlight I can see the stuff coming down like a mist. Ugk!

TG it seems like it's a really bad year in your neck of the woods. My friend Mike lives in Williamstown and he's had a rough time. I used to use Claritin when i lived on the mainland. Doesn't make you sleepy. Thankfully we have a whole different kind of trees etc over here and my allergies are better. However we have VOG and that causes itchy and watery eyes.

I also use Allegra-D everyday without drowsiness.

Flonase has an odd side-effect that hits me...it causes me to have nosebleeds.

If you decide to change meds, be sure to take it a few days to ensure their isn't some adverse impact to you. You don't want to find out while you're riding that the new meds are causing problems.

Thankfully I do not suffer from allergies, but I have a good friend that does. He swears by nasal irrigation.

Seems like every time I have a Doctor prescribe me something to help with my breathing it works for a couple days and then the nose bleeds start.

And the other problem is my main problems are at night so when I go see a doctor they must think I'm crazy as I have no problem breathing. And unlike Sacto who says "my nasal cavity is a mucus factory" I have just the opposite problem, overly dry nasal and sinus and don't think the doctors are understanding that complaint.

I use a generic of Flonase and +1 on the nasal irrigation:

So much sexiness. I'm not sure how my wife doesn't climb all over me all the time?!
