Well I took the little Vespa [2018 300 Super] on a Poker Run last weekend .In general it was fun and I did have the only Vespa. There was one Honda crotch rocket and about 45 Harley's. We cruised at speeds from 60mph up to 80mph and I kept up just fine. Of course on take off I was often left a bit lacking. But cruising along, the Green Hornet was fine.We rode 200 miles and I have to say I was beat at the end of the day. The seat on the GTS 300 is just like sitting on a board with a napkin over it. Not sure I will do any more Poker runs on it I might just stick to my Harley for that from now on.

Napkin covered board indeed. I feel your pain.

Glad you enjoyed the run. The Vespa is indeed very capable. Regarding the seat, most folks find that the more riding you do the comfier the seat gets, and this is probably mostly due to your butt getting more used to the seat. I can go 300 miles non stop (except for fuel) and be perfectly comfortable. It wasn't like that to start with! Enjoy your bike...

That was my experience. On the 90 minute ride home from the dealer, I spent a lot of time thinking how comfy my LX seat was by comparison. A couple of years in, I hardly think about it at all.

Longer Range Riding on a Vespa 300
The ride is much more comfortable with a decent windshield. The
debate goes back and forth on whether a Vespa is comfortable on long
rides. The fact that this is a "Vespa Forum" will find many supporting
the position that the Vespa is comfortable.

I ride both my GTS 300 and Burgman 400 on extended rides. Both do
fine. I do find the foot forward riding position and lumbar support on
the Burgman more pain free. Disclaimer, I am an old fart and usually
take a couple of Ibuprofen whenever I ride long distances. I need to
medicate for all the bumps and bruises that seem to come back from earlier in life.

As you have discovered, the Vespa 300 has long legs and does well keeping
up with the motorcycle crowd.
