Modern Vespa

The reason i love Hawaii is that we have temperate weather. Occasionally we'll have 90 degree weather. but yesterday was brutal. Definitely Septembers weather. Coming home from Honolulu about 1pm and i hit traffic. Sun was out and no cloud cover. I have a combo temp/time clock on the LX since my clock died. Sitting at a traffic light for about 10 minutes (haven't a clue why it was that long) and i swore my crocs were melting. Looked down and my temp on my clock/temp combo said 105!! WTF. I had my black Diesel helmet on and black crocs. Brutal and i felt like i was in Phoenix. Then just 5 miles up the road the temp was 80. Another 5 miles and i was home. Just got my gear off and pounded a cold water and it absolutely POURED. Gotta love Hawaii. Sorry about the fuzzy first pic. Summers here. Make sure you stay hydrated.

A few years ago but it gets hot in NC, too. This was my first scooter GTS 250 2009.

This is when we crawl into a deep, cool hole for six months.

The OBX is wet and sticky, like my therapy balls.

How far are you from that big hole that keeps spittin' liquid rocks? I'm assuming you're on a different island?

Yes, San Antonio's no picnic either. 106 and 90% humidity ain't for the timid. It does make it tough to ride during the day.

GG i hear ya, You could move up to Flag for the summer. It was in the 80's when i left Flag for PHX. When i got down the mountain to PHX it was 120!! JET it's 500 miles away but were getting some of the VOG from it. I've had a headache and watered eyes. No trade winds to get rid of it. Not real bad here but lets hope we don't get the Kona winds which will bring it right to us.

I've posted these before, but I have two pics of the thermometer on my former BV350. 121º and a year later 122º. Fortunately my commute was short.

It's supposed to be under 100 through Thursday. However, it pops up to 105 for the foreseeable future and that's considered 'cool' here.

GG - what % humidity is that?

It will hang in the 5% range until monsoon season when it will jump to 50+%. Not bad until you couple that with the heat but still better than many tropical steam ovens.

Heat in Phoenix is dry heat. So's a oven.
