My fender bolts have all disapeared. I'm looking to replace the top three. Will hardware store bolts work and if so what size?

No, OE bolts are "shoulder" type so as not to crush the plastic, Vespa p/n 575249. Nuts can use generic 6mm flange type.

I'm not sure when I lost them, just looked down and saw the fender leaning on the tire. Had the scoot for 9 years. Missing the suspension cover too. Might have lost them in my move to Chicago. Ordered a set from scooterwest and have a bungee cord suspension in place to hold the fender. I was thinking that a mushroom head with a few washers on a m6 screw might work.

Mine went on Holiday and then - the dreaded Floppy Fender Syndrome.

Ordered more from Scooter West.....

Did use the Loctite blue tho, no probs since.

I recall this was a pain to do - poor access, perhaps you can pay a 5 year-old to place these parts.

Too bad you can't remove the front fender without dropping the fork and all.... it would be nice for fabbing up some aero fenders.

Forgive my stream-of-conciousness writing, it must be the pain meds for my back

No need, they are banned from the shop for bad behavior.

They probably angered the volcano gods, and the rest is history.

But thanks for the kind thoughts!
