Sad day, leaving Portland and the west coast back home to the south. Been on the move scooting around since Hurricane Katrina. I will miss the scene and quality scooter people from the Rip City. Time to make new scooter friends and begin again.....

Where abouts is the next port of entry? Is always tough leaving a place, but exciting to open a new chapter in life. And with luck you can go back and reread chapters with a different perspective, and often you find those details which make it all the better.

Thank you for your kind words and perspective, it really helps. I'm going back to Louisiana, haven't lived there since Katrina. Super excited to see how the scene has grown. First rally in March in NOLA so life isn't gonna be so bad. It'll still be frigid & possible snowing in Portland.

Absolutely, and congrats on getting back to NOLA. Absolutely love the city, few like it that are simply saturated with history as well as culture. Hope your first rally back is better than expected, willing to bet it will be!

Should of asked in my other response, but what group is hosting the ride in March? Got the sudden urge for some cafe du monde coffee and figure will a be good first long distance ride on the Liberty.

Work is cancelled due to weather being 21f and roads frozen and kids can't learn cycle training at school here in Ceredigion.
Plus I am also a pensioner and responsible adult I think so what better to do than enjoy the snow 🙂

It was a chilly 45 degrees but a beautiful day to ride to work. Never a bad view from the pier.

A brisk 42 degrees (F) when I rolled up to our favorite local pizza joint last night, but sunny and dry, so can't let that kind of day go to waste.

Out windowshopping for scooters today and came across this wall along the way:

Yesterday in Carson village PA

Daily travel this road to visit mom.

Just picked up et4 frame and associated parts from daughter's and the car she sold back to mum now she's quit driving living in Nottingham and I shall make a rat scooter up with all the bits i got left which includes a skipper engine on 12" wheel a 150 top end and a GTS front wheel with a new tyre on.
Only one problem I have to babysit the grandchildren or daughter will tell mum I have another scooter which she doesn't know about yet
Tripod the dog likes it.

Happy 8 year old granddaughter Alicia after her first 10 mile ride today and no warnings from my daughter Beth about being careful after a few years ago the answer was a big no way ever till she's 16.
A natural as well holds on properly etc.

Quick trip to a nearby lake here. Still cold here in Holland but getting better everyday! Was good to be out riding again after weeks and weeks of rain
