All that's missing is his flip-flops.
Rides up to my coffee shop - no gear.
Worse, he rides off out of town one handed on a 55mph state highway.
Even worse, NO cup of real coffee has a bleedin' straw sticking out of it!

Best not spend any time in continental Europe then, where this sort of thing is the norm on scooters. Would drive you nuts!

(Not sure that people are dropping like flies on the roads as a result either... anyone got any stats? Scooter fatalities per million scooter trips taken in, say, Italy, compared to USA?)

OK, it's a scooter board, but what caught my eye was the fabulous paint job on that car!

No, socks and flip flops would have definitely been worse.

Like Judy, I frequently ride with Crocs, shorts and a tshirt. I don't drink coffee while I ride but if I did a lid and straw setup would be a good choice.

I cringe when I see people riding without helmets in Pennsylvania but hey, live and let live.

I'm guilty of tshirt (bright colors), shorts and flip flops. In fact, it's my standard ridng gear. In my defense I only ride in Key West like weather, on low traffic roads.

BTW, my wife and I are huge Key West fans. We go every year. So when we heard Put In Bay was the "Key West of the North" we had to go. I was disappointed. Other than the buoy and the sign with all of the cities and their distance, it was nothing like Key West.
