Any recommendations, duct tape?

Good to know, I hate spending money for medical advice from professionals.
Drug stores sell what is called paper tape for bandages that need frequent changing. They are less sticky, come off a little easier than adhesive tape and work very well.

The reason anyone snores is because they can't keep their mouths shut at night. No animal, other than humans, sleeps with their mouth open. Take a look at your dog, cat, pet bird, what have you.
Great. Now I'm on a mission to watch my snoring cat to see if her mouth is open. Facepalm emoticon

Wonder how she'd like the tape.....

Yeah, my dog sleeps with her mouth shut. But she still snores.

I'd suggest heavy leather gloves either for applying the tape or removing it

Guess I'm lucky as I have a ResMed and they are not part of the recall. One thing that sort of suck is I'm a side/stomach sleeper which makes a CPAP machine hard enough to use. For me to sleep on my side and have the mask stay on it has to be on my left which still hasn't fully recovered since my accident. As result I often do not use it though I know all too well I should.

I have the ResMed 10 Elite which is a pretty good unit. It has a built in humidifier and warms the air that goes through the tube. It has built in 3g that is included and it uploads your results daily and gives you a score based on a number of criteria.

Sorry about rebooting an old thread but thought this might be the one to post this information I just learned from another forum:

https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/safety-communications/certain-philips-respironics-ventilators-bipap-and-cpap-machines-recalled-due-potential-health-risks
Neither my doctor nor my DME told me about the recall.

I had to hear about it from the Vespa forum.

I use rubber coated twist ties and rubber bands to secure excess hose to my nightstand with enough slack to sleep on either side. Reducing the weight of the excess hose drape keeps it from dragging when I'm turned opposite the machine.

I was diagnosed with pretty serious apnea a few years ago and had to use a CPAP machine. However once I lost nearly 100 pounds the snoring/apnea became a once in a blue moon occurrence (mostly after having a few drinks).

If you are using a CPAP, make sure to get one that has a water reservoir. Keep it clean and it will keep your sinuses from drying out and giving you an all-day runny nose.

A few companies also make very compact 'travel CPAPs' that are a godsend if you fly or spend a lot of time away from home.
