Sitting at Midas having several issues with my 2007 Nissan Frontier dealt with. Probably here all day. Oh boy.

Humor me folks. It's Friday, I'm stranded and bored off my ass.

There's a sweet '67 Dodge Coronet in bay 6.

OMG...I had a 69 Dodge Cornet R/T with a 440 in it....that pic brought back memories...

I may help pay, but that's the extent of my generosity.

If the shining polished air cleaner atop the Coronet's engine were made of 24 carat gold, it would indeed be proof of The Midas Touch

The car is wonderful and the photos don't do it justice. All bodywork immaculately straight and true. Currently being restored to show quality. Beautiful.

Just checked with the shop manager. It's only 14 carat.

Bummer.

Brought in the truck due to what I thought was a bad spark plug or wire causing one cylinder not to fire, along with a heat shield rattle and a windshield fluid reservoir leak.

Appears I'm not done there...

Was just informed that the "old man" was on his way to Nissan to pick up some parts for the truck.

He's 93.

Lucky for me, my mechanic is right in town, and lives around the corner from me. His son was my babysitter for a couple of years. He used to drop off my car at home, or sometimes I would walk the 2 miles to his shop, which I did last fall. A pleasant walk.

Agreed, and I'll have a surprise for MV sometime tomorrow regarding just that!

Sadly, I live 20 miles away. I brought my laptop to help pass the time and there are several good restaurants within walking distance. Hoping to just wait things out, unless they have to keep the truck overnight.
