How do you prevent the helmet and windshield from blinding you?
I found the product: Rain-X for plastic on Amazon. Is this a good choice?

Can you recommend any product to waterproof your pants and jacket? Another solution?

How do you prevent the phone from being fucked up if used for navigation? Dry bag pouch?

Is there an app that can warn you if there is rain on your journey and reroute you to avoid the rain?

Rain-X works OK but it does not work magic. If you get a decent pair of waterproof riding gloves the left glove will have a little rubber visor wiper on the forefinger.

Best bet is to keep some light rain gear in the pet carrier or top case.

Many new phones are waterproof to a large extent. You can get waterproof cases for them as well. On the Vespa I use a Sena headset and voice navigation. On the C650 I have a Garmin Motorrad navigator that also patches in to a Sena.

Living in the States you should have a good choice of live weather options. Just Google live weather app and add Android or iOS to the end.

Yeh pin-lock double glazing to stop the fogging is a miracle!!

I use rain x, but like on cars it doesn't have much effect until your at a certain speed. I found turning my head left/right helps it decide to beed and roll off.

I have a plastic poncho in my glove box for it gets seriously wet, size of cigarette packet when not used.

Windshield should be of a height you can look over top of.

+1 on pinlock. The actual pinlock insert is different depending on what helmet you have. But first check to see if your current helmet's face shield has pins on either side of it, on the inside. If no pins, either pinlock is not available or, if it is, you'll need to buy both the face shield and pinlock insert.

Looks like pinlock face screens are readily available for Shark helmets.

This doesn't help at all but back in the olden days I did lots of heavy rain riding. I wore a Belstaff suit to keep me dry.

https://www.belstaff.com/pure-motorcycle/?via-megamenu

On my hands - fleece lined mittens and Belstaff over-gauntlets. and for a visor, this (weird but very efficient):

https://www.sparcousa.com/product/turbo-visor

Visibility is better than car windshield wipers as it spins like Billy-o and throws off all the rain. Not so good in that wet, sticky, large-flaked snow, but then, who's riding in that except a crazy college kid with no choice?

If you have decent tires the scooter will be fine in the rain.

Waterproof leggings and jacket - or an 'all-in-one' are the way to go. A poncho is only OK for light rain or drizzle. Heavy rain gets into any gap, and a poncho has a big gap all round...

Honestly I'd avoid a pancho as it would get blown around in the wind and you'd get soaked. (Picture a woman in a long nylon skirt riding in the rain).

I'd stick to a good quality rain suit with separate jacket and pants. You'll stay much drier on a scoot.

For windscreen and faceshield - i recommend RainCoat or Cee Baileys Rain Repellant Max.

http://store.ceebaileys.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=8OZ+Rain+Repellent+Max&CartID=1

I use Kiwi Camp Dry to treat a pair of nylon running pants and an old stearns sailing jacket. I do this once a year (maybe) and both have proven to keep me dry in very heavy downpours.

If you use RainX make sure you get the right one. You need the one good for plastic or you will fog your sheild.

I use the Rain-X for plastic on my visor and (winter) windscreen. It appears to work well.

I carry a Frogg Toggs rain jacket and pants in the pet carrier for rainy situations.

I learned the hard way that a windbreaker is not waterproof and killed my iPhone 6 in the rain. I temporarily replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy J3, which isn't water resistant. When riding in the rain, I'd simply put it in a ziploc baggie. I now use an iPhone 7, which is water resistant.

I have nine weather apps on my phone. I've found that each of them has strengths and weaknesses. I generally use the Yahoo! Weather! app for daily use. If it says it's going to rain, I check the radar on the NOAA Radar Pro app. I check the other apps if there's a discrepancy between the Yahoo app and other, non-iPhone app sources.
