Get the Harbor Freight one when it's on special offer, or when there's a 25% off coupon around.

I have this one:
https://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-steel-motorcycle-lift-68892.html

But as jimc says wait for special offer or good coupon, often see them on special for a little under $300.00

Even better, search craigslist for it and save another 50% or more.

Handy Lift's are the Best !
Get on their mailing list, I waited for two years for them to offer Free Freight which they do to Subscribers.

Those Handy Lift's do look nice and if I was setting up a shop where I would be using the lift full time year round I would probably lean towards one of their offerings.

But at three to four times the price of the Harbor Fright lifts I still find mine to be the one I would buy.

The Handy Lift's air or electric power would be nice but as I might only put a bike or scooter up on the lift a handful of times a year the foot operated pump is not that bad a deal

What do you folks recommend for a center lift for changing tires?

To change the right tire:
1. Tilt lock off.
2. Lean to the right.
3. Tilt lock on.
4. Put on centerstand.

This elevates the right wheel so you can remove it.
No stand required.

That's a great suggestion and thanks Sully. What do you suggest if I'm taking all the tires off? Was going to have the shop put the tires on and save some cash.

I put my scooters on their center stands, lift the front with a ratchet strap to the garage rafters, remove the front wheel, lower the front down to where the fork is supported by a step stool, then remove the rear wheel. I suppose this would work with an MP3.

Works perfectly for an MP3. You don't have to hang it from the rafters though. Just jack it up, remove the front wheels, put 2, 4x4 blocks under the suspension, let the jack down, remove the rear wheel. Easy Peazy!
