Modern Vespa

I noticed that my seat had already started to fade in only 3 months in this Texas summer sun. On comparison with a new one in the Vespa Dealership I can see some fading. I've begun to experiment with different remedies. The best I've come up with is Petroleum Jelly. Works great , soaks right in, and doesn't leave the seat slick for riding.

Have any other ideas ?

Are you using the built-in seat cover?

Thanks for the suggestion from Aloha Land. I have tried the cover under the seat, but seemed such a pain ,time consuming, and having to make sure that the latch doesn't catch when seat is lowered. Probably only use this feature when parked for some time.
