I wished I'd bought one of these. I changed my oil yesterday, went out and bought a chain type remover. It did the job but I marked the engine casing a bit as it was a tight fit.

Seems we've got enough UK mates on MV we ought to be able to find someone to forward things to the US for us. Hurdles are meant to be jumped. |

I just use a screwdriver with a squared shaft to get the filter off.
That, and/or a T-handled screwdriver from back in my bike mechanic days. |

If you sell direct, then you are liable to be sued in USA. If somebody sends it to you as a third party, then they are not...? |

Gee I just make my filter hand tight and take it off by hand too.
Bottom out then 1/2 turn more by hand, then a little effort to remove it two hands. John |

If you sell direct, then you are liable to be sued in USA. If somebody sends it to you as a third party, then they are not...? Not that all sellers ship to all places but many, many do so. Ebay sellers often sell to USA but also many items listed on non-USA ebay sections (they come up via google) that we cannot buy from while they can buy from us, which I've never understood? Some UK sellers list in both places. Some Asian sellers list separately in CA and USA. The litigious lawyer label might apply to medical or accident chasing lawyers here (The Hammer or Morgan & Morgan-"For the People!" come to mind- but be (sort of?) interesting to sue someone over an oil filter removal tool? Not that I'm defending lawyers nor speaking against tort reform. |
