Well, a new job opportunity has me hauling my butt out to Austin. I'm pretty excited about it but, haven't found a whole lot of info about the scooter scene (recent anyway). I'm a vintage rider however, I'm cool riding with anybody. Except Nazi bikers of course

I'm located in Austin, we have a smaller community, it used to be a lot larger with weekly rides and lots of in between hang outs but has kind of dipped over the last few years. we do have a great vintage specific shop here that used to be ASC. I daily ride my Rally since the weather is great (hot tho).
we do have a FB page called Austin Metro Vintage Scooter Community or something, some of us are getting an itch to start a club again though.

I just visited Austin last weekend. The vibe of the city was fantastic, and the food, OMG.

Stopped by AF1 and was immensely impressed with their offerings, and even got a nice backroom tour of the repair bays and storage. They have some vintage scooters on display.

Man if I could, I'd be moving to Austin.

Yes, I've found my way onto Austin Metro Vintage Scooter Club on FB and already begun asking stupid questions. Unfortunately, I will be working in Briggs so, I won't have a commutable scoot distance anymore. Well, here in Seattle, the rain hampers my enjoyment of the easy 4.5 mile ride to/fro work anyhow. So, there is the trade-off.

N. FM 620 near Lake Travis. Pretty close to Cedar Park.

I will say one thing, EVERYBODY has been so welcoming. Quite a contrast from Seattle. I think my wife and I are going to love it there.
