Std weights for the 400 are 19 gms after 09, 21g before. What do you want to achieve?
16 would be the lightest for a standard 09 or younger bike. 17 to be conservative. Maybe 16.5 as a compromise. But again you have to be clear what you wish to achieve. ⚠️ Last edited by waspmike on UTC; edited 1 time

Fuzzy washer adds 1 mm space between the primary sheaves, which makes the belt ride lower, which lowers the "gearing" for faster takeoffs and generally peppier throttle response. Maybe decreases top speed by a couple MPH, but I don't ride at 90+ MPH very often myself.
Search "fuzzy washer" in the forums. You can get them as a standard sized thrust washer on line, or Fuzzy made a bunch on a CNC machine. I don't remember the exact diamater and hole- maybe 36mmx22mm 1mm thick? |

I spoke to a very helpful man at this website. Does anyone have any experience with this site? He didn't have great things to say about the sliders. But recommended the Malossi 14 gram rollers. And feels like my shutter and squawking noise can be solved with a new Malossi Spring for the clutch. Any thoughts???

Scooter Parts is a good company.
Many of us here (including me) use the Dr. Pulley sliders. Their design is proven. I have heard people who have ran them for thousands of miles with no wear at all. The design/function of the sliders is superior to rollers in my opinion. Also as I and others have previously told you, 14 grams is going to spin that motor like crazy. 16 is the absolute lowest I would go and I run 17's which perform great in all conditions. There are many threads on this forum that you can search to get more information. |

14g rollers are way to light. I have Dr. Pulley sliders in mine and I really like them. Mine came with (I think) 25g rollers and I went with 21g sliders and it was a really nice improvement.

Thanks to everybody that's helping me. Can someone direct me to instructions that indicates exactly where to install the Fuzzy washer on the Variator. I believe it's just added to the center of the variator. But I'm just guessing based on what I think its supposed to do mechanically. Appreciate everybody.
