I am getting a clicking noise from the trans case.
The motor has to be running and I have to be coasting for it to make the noise. Taking it apart tonight.
Do have Mosoli variator.

When my axel bearing went south, it wouldn't make the noise when on the center stand. It needed weight on it to make the noise. If it's the axel bearing, you can't get to it from the transmission side. The good news about the axel bearing is that it's not hard to replace. Bad news is, the seal for the bearing made shipping take 9 days.

Amerivesp is ON
Loose axel nut was allowing the wheel to move just a little.
Taking it on a shake down ride Sat or Sun, but the noise is gone 8)

Ding, Ding, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner !!! Bad rear axle bearing. It started making noise again. Ordered parts from AF1 Racing this AM and they will be here tomorrow.
And people say it takes too long to get parts,. You just have to be willing to shell out $35 shipping for $17 worth of parts.

And no gasket I see. I suck at appying RTV evenly
May get a whole tube and just use my air powered chaulk gun to get an even bead.

Taking it apart tonight so I can throw it back togetter tomorrow night and not loss out on riding the weekend Clown emoticon

Bearing seems fine. Wondering if I had the axel spacers in the wrong order and it wasn't tighting down all the way.
Throwing it back together tonight.
It was easy, only took and 30 minutes to get it apart, if that.

My bearing wouldn't make noise unless there was weight on it. When I removed it, it felt normal when I spun it in my fingers. After it was replaced, the bike was normal. Mine didn't make noise because of working on the bike and replacing parts wrong. I noticed the noise on a Monday and Tuesday I got a ride home from work because of how bad it sounded. I rebuilt it at work.

Can you give me the seqeunce the spacers are installed.
I had cone shaped spacer first, then wheel, then next spacer, then the nut and castle nut, then the nut riding the scooter.

I think it should have been cone spacer, next spacer, wheel, nut, crown nut.

Edit, just checked the parts catalog and I did have it put together correctly.

Defo replace the bearing then WEB-Tech as you are suggesting you will do. You often just cannot tell if the bearing is ok. As Breaknwind is saying, they often don't make noise or show any problems until under load.

Put it back together with the original bearing, there is no way it is a problem.
I did a different assembly order and am hoping that helps. Still thinking it wasn't going togesther right. Think swing arm axle bearing was binding and not going on all the way. Tightened rear axle nut before tightening swing arm bolts. The nut was loss again when ai took it apart. Deffinitly not 45 lb ft of torque.
